Spring Break!

Well...Spring Break is over for me, but it was a much needed rest from school. I haven't been posting too much, but going to try and turn that around again. Going to be posting some crazy dreams that I had last night over in Lucid Dreamer. Scheduling for next semester starts for me in two days...I still need to change my degree from B.A. to B.S. which I've been putting off. I also have my second midterm in my Ancient Japanese Civilization class (again, this is the only semester I have ever experienced multiple midterms) which I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail, but I'm going to try my best. My favorite quote from this unit is my teacher, while describing the difference between some of the writing "Even my children can understand the difference between these two characters". Yeah...that's because they speak and read Japanese. This class is about the history, and I get that language is important, but I feel like it's a little unfair to expect us to be able to tell the difference between ancient Japanese characters. "Don't you see that it looks like a little man in a house?" No. No I don't. I've accepted my fate though, and just going to do my best. If I fail, I fail. I'll just take another class to replace that one.

My spring break wasn't very eventful, I just spent it relaxing. The week before, we had this awesome thing on campus called Humans vs Zombies, where we run around with nerf guns and bandannas and play a week long game of tag. You get tagged, you get turned. Or you survive with the nerf guns, using them to stun the zombies. On the last day, there's this thing called Final Stand, where all the zombies and all the humans have one last battle. It was awesome, being about 400 zombies rushing at the 200 humans. We ate them good. There was even a story with the mods playing special characters. There were the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, each side having two, and they had cool masks. It was pretty awesome, yet terrifying, seeing War, covered in blood with two swords in his hands coming out of a dark forest all by himself to attack us. Running from him in the dark was exhilarating.

After that, I had a convention that they hold at my school, which I have been going to since high school. So I was pretty tired out by the time Spring Break came around. But I still did a lot with my friends and girlfriend. Well, I'm going to post in Lucid Dreamer before going back to study for this test. Thanks for the support in the previous comments, and sorry for complaining at all. I hate to complain about personal problems, it's something I really don't like to do. I guess sometimes it's just needed.

Premonition

Well...I guess my dream told the future. Posted a dream a few days ago about getting my Ancient Japanese Civilization test back and failing it miserably. I thought I had done well enough on it to get a C...even a D. Nope. Failed it horribly. I think I'm going to flunk out of college. I'm trying...I really am. But I guess it's just not good enough.

To be fair though, her questions were idiotic, and she took off points on the essay questions for stupid things. For example, one multiple choice asked about what the Chinese called Japan in the 3rd century or something. There was one choice, that was the Chinese word for Japan, which she had brought up on multiple occasions. The rest of the choices were names of different periods. I picked the only choice that made sense. It was wrong. Looking over the test, I pretty much feel like this:

Well...I guess we shall see how the rest of the semester goes. My poor poor GPA...you used to be so beautiful. Now...it's like you got hit by a MAC truck.

Edited

I decided to remove my other post, because there is no sense being negative. School has been a little rough this semester, mostly because of one TA that I had last semester making the tests for my Biopsychology class. He makes questions, which have multiple correct answers, but he wants the "most correct" choice. Makes me mad, because this makes the tests ridiculously hard. I like the actual class a lot though.

Another class that really sucks is my Ancient Japanese Civilization class. I know I talked a little bit about these in a previous post, but now that the semester has gone on a little bit, I see things more clearly. This class sucks. It's not the subject, but it's the teacher. She makes you feel stupid for not knowing something that she hasn't taught you yet. That is the worst way of teaching. Ah well, just means more work for me!

Here's a picture of her:

Second Semester Begins

Sorry I haven't had a chance to blog in a while, but I'm finally back. It's not my second semester at this school that I transferred to, and I actually find that I have more time to blog when I'm at school (mostly because it passes the time in boring classes). Class started last week, but so far everything is going pretty well. I took a whole bunch of classes that don't have anything to do with my major, but that I need to graduate from this university, and I thought they all sounded interesting and fun. Like, Ancient Japanese Civilization (which I'm currently sitting in), or Splendors in Early Renaissance Art in Venice. Though the subjects are kind of interesting...I'm a little worried about the actual classes. Another class that I actually like but am kind of worried about is a class called The Symphony. I've never really taken a music class, despite loving all kinds of music, and the first day it made me wish I had taken some kind of instrument in high school. The class is beautiful though and I love listening to all the pieces, I just feel that my complete lack of musical knowledge is going to hinder me a little bit.

On Thursday, I accidentally overdosed on some medication, which in the worse case scenario will put me to sleep. It can't kill me so it was nothing dangerous, but trying to stay awake was another story. I sat in the front row of my Symphony class, ready to hear beautiful music, and found myself fighting off sleep for the entire class. I don't even know what we did that day. I must have looked like a moron, trying to keep my head from falling on my desk. After I left there and headed to my Venice class, I felt much better. I was able to pay attention at least...well, for the first few minutes. After that, it came back, and I was fighting off the most powerful urge to sleep that I have ever experienced. This was from about 1-3 in the afternoon, so I had no excuse for falling asleep. After class, I headed to these comfy couches that me and my girlfriend would sleep on last semester and found her there waiting for me. I finally passed out on the couch and slept for a good couple of hours before my next class.

Got some dreams saved up, so I'm going to edit those and post them now. I hope everyone who has gone back to school has a wonderful semester! Let me know how your classes have been so far.

Toothache

Hey everyone! I hope you have been having a good holiday! Did everyone get what they wanted? I've got enough games to keep me busy until next year, so that's good...but now I actually feel overwhelmed, like I have too much to play. But hey, it's still awesome.

I haven't really been able to post too much because I've been at my girlfriend's house taking care of her.  Awhile ago, she went to the dentist to get a something done on her tooth for some reason and her tooth had been bugging her pretty bad ever since. She told the dentist and he said it would stop hurting after a few days. The pain had gotten pretty bad, but would get less intense for a while before coming back. Recently though, it has been so bad that her face is swollen and she can't chew anything. All she's been able to eat is applesauce. She went to another dentist and it turns out she has some infection in her nerve under the tooth. The dentist said it's odd because the actual tooth itself has nothing wrong with it, so I'm thinking whatever the other dentist did to her tooth originally had caused it to get infected. The pain from whatever he did had hurt her more in the first few days than the pain from whatever was wrong with it in the first place. She has to wait until next week to get anything done on it though, because the new dentist has to wait for something with her insurance, so she is going to be stuck in pure pain for at least another week. She did get some anti-biotics and pain killers, but the pain killers don't even help that much since she can only take half. If she takes the whole thing, it makes her feel really sick.

At least she has me to take care of her though. I hope all of you have a wonderful New Year and enjoy everything you can! Have fun everyone, I'll try to post some more soon!

The Final Final

Finally done with my Finals! And now, the relaxing begins. Hopefully I'll be able to post more now! Yay! I've got a bunch of dreams saved up for my Lucid Dreamer blog, so I'm going to post on that and it might be pretty long.

Hope everyone is doing well on their Finals and have a happy and safe holiday!

The "Final" Countdown

Yep, it's that time again. Finals. Luckily I don't have to do my final in History because it's optional and I really hate that class. I think I've got a good enough grade to just skip it. My main focus right now is on my Child and Developmental Psychology class. It's my favorite class this semester and I've loved attending it, but the tests are just so hard, I haven't been able to get above an 80. Right now, I'm looking at a C, and it's physically impossible for me to get an A. I'm going to try my best to get a B though. If I'm not posting too much, it's because I'm studying my butt off, but I'll be posting much more during Winter Break.

If anyone is following my blog, let me know with a comment once in a while, especially if I commented on your blog. The main reason being, for some reason I lost most of the blogs I am following and I really liked a lot of them, so I need to find them all again. Just drop me a comment if I commented on your blog (and you're even reading this) so I can follow you again.

Going to update my Lucid Dreamer blog also with a bunch of interesting dreams, so be sure to check it out!
