Returning from Thanksgiving Break

I've decided to start a blog that I can update as regularly as I want to. My other blog, though I find it to be very fun to keep up, can only really be updated if I have a dream that I can remember well enough to write this. This means that if I don't have a good dream for a while, I won't update my blog for a while. I really enjoy blogging and receiving comments though, so even though this blog may not be as interesting, I figure it will be nice to have something I can update whenever I want.

Just a little bit about me: I'm a 21 year old guy, currently attending Stony Brook University, so you will probably hear a lot about college life in this blog. I currently commute, but I try to be as involved in college life as I can be. Since I have no idea what I want to do with my life, I decided to pursue a degree in Psychology, which I'm sure is pretty common.

As a quick recap of my thanksgiving break, it was pretty crazy. The day before thanksgiving, my mom had my aunt come over to help prepare, but all she really does is sleep, so we ended up having to watch an infant and a 4 year old on top of cleaning and preparing. Added to that, my brothers pet bird passed away that he had for as long as I could remember, so we had a sad funeral in the rain for her.

The holiday went well though, even though it was mostly just me and my cousins playing custom matches of Call of Duty in my room. Pretty much I hardly saw the rest of my family. I went back to my cousin's house that night to hang out with him and ended up spending the night to go and play hockey in the morning. All of my cousin's friends were home from college, so after devouring some left overs at one of our friend's houses, we set out for an awesome game of roller hockey. I had never really played before, though I used to love to roller blade as kid, but I ended up playing goalie, which was great! I had more fun playing with them than I ever had playing anything before. The day was beautiful, the game was intense, and we even had some parents and kids sit on some nearby bleachers to watch and cheer us on.

After that, we went back to my cousin's house for his 18th birthday party, where we had some dinner and then eventually some cake. His girlfriend came over and it was the first time I really hung out with her, and she was actually pretty cool. We watched a movie called My Soul to Take which actually wasn't too bad, though it wasn't really scary. Well, I guess no horror movies really scare me anymore. It was still a very good time, and amusing to see his girlfriend jump at every little thing.

I spent the rest of my break grabbing Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals online, getting some great deals on some video games. I managed to grab Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City games for my brother, Assassins Creed Revelations for me and my girlfriend, and Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, and  Persona 2 for myself. Yeah, incase you couldn't tell, I'm a big gamer. I play a little bit of everything, but I would consider myself to be a hardcore gamer.

Well, that's pretty much all for now. Sorry for the huge wall of text, but thanks to anyone who reads any of it. Please leave some comments and I will get back and comment on your blogs as well. I love meeting new people! Thank you all, and hope to see you around!

  1. Fellow University students unite. Also, I would get Steam. I'll take a Steam sale over a Black Friday one any day.

  2. Haha, you know, I was so dumb because I was so busy trying to get deals online, I totally forgot about steam. Steam has some amazing sales, and I kick myself for not checking it in a while.
