Second Semester Begins

Sorry I haven't had a chance to blog in a while, but I'm finally back. It's not my second semester at this school that I transferred to, and I actually find that I have more time to blog when I'm at school (mostly because it passes the time in boring classes). Class started last week, but so far everything is going pretty well. I took a whole bunch of classes that don't have anything to do with my major, but that I need to graduate from this university, and I thought they all sounded interesting and fun. Like, Ancient Japanese Civilization (which I'm currently sitting in), or Splendors in Early Renaissance Art in Venice. Though the subjects are kind of interesting...I'm a little worried about the actual classes. Another class that I actually like but am kind of worried about is a class called The Symphony. I've never really taken a music class, despite loving all kinds of music, and the first day it made me wish I had taken some kind of instrument in high school. The class is beautiful though and I love listening to all the pieces, I just feel that my complete lack of musical knowledge is going to hinder me a little bit.

On Thursday, I accidentally overdosed on some medication, which in the worse case scenario will put me to sleep. It can't kill me so it was nothing dangerous, but trying to stay awake was another story. I sat in the front row of my Symphony class, ready to hear beautiful music, and found myself fighting off sleep for the entire class. I don't even know what we did that day. I must have looked like a moron, trying to keep my head from falling on my desk. After I left there and headed to my Venice class, I felt much better. I was able to pay attention at least...well, for the first few minutes. After that, it came back, and I was fighting off the most powerful urge to sleep that I have ever experienced. This was from about 1-3 in the afternoon, so I had no excuse for falling asleep. After class, I headed to these comfy couches that me and my girlfriend would sleep on last semester and found her there waiting for me. I finally passed out on the couch and slept for a good couple of hours before my next class.

Got some dreams saved up, so I'm going to edit those and post them now. I hope everyone who has gone back to school has a wonderful semester! Let me know how your classes have been so far.

  1. I know exactly what you mean except I experience it without medication affecting me.

I blame it on my sleep apnea. :P
